Windows 7 in 2009?

Some key industry folks have confirmed than an early version of the successor to the industry flop Microsoft’s current OS, Windows Vista, has been shipped out for validation and initial feedback. This skews the original timeline of a potential 2010 release, but brings on some exciting prospects for those less-than-whelmed by Microsoft’s last efforts. Some of those exciting features included in the current build are the ability to handle multiple GPUs from different manufacturers as well as a new version of Media Center.
This bump in the process could easily lead to having a release candidate in our hands by early next year. What should we be expecting from this next installment of Windows?
