VIDcore: Protest the Hero – Bloodmeat

Protest the Hero has released the first video for their upcoming album, “Fortress”, to be released January 29th on Vargrant records. The video was shot for the song Bloodmeat and, contrary to most of their other videos, the content is primarily the band playing the song. This format really shows of their talent like never before.
Most people would agree that Protest the Hero is a studio band. Their live performances, while intense, tend to lack some of the polish that their albums portray. I’ve seen this a lot with some of the bigger acts in recent years. But as long as they’re aware of that, and play to their strengths, I don’t necessarily see that as a bad thing. The technical writing of this song is very apparent with the close ups on guitarist’s tap work.
Look to see this band’s popularity grow more in 2008 with a solid combination of technical writing skill and a vocal style that is unmatched in the genre.
